In 2009 under a U.S. DoD program, Torres trained over 1,680 U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and State Department personnel on the full range of biometrics systems including the Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE) and the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) in preparation for deployment to Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa and Asia.
