Torres currently trains U.S. Army and Air Force personnel that deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan in Counterinsurgency (COIN), Cultural Awareness (CA), and Personnel Recovery (including Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape and High Risk Isolation).  To date, Torres has trained over 20,000 personnel under these instructional programs. Torres instructors are each certified in their respective areas of instruction – COIN, CA, and PR and have earned certifications in several other instructional areas.

The majority of Torres instructors are former U.S. Army or Air Force Senior NCOs or Officers that conducted training at U.S. Armed Forces academies and specialty schools while on active military duty.  Under the COIN, CA, and PR programs, Torres instructors author several Programs of Instruction (POIs), develop and update all course materials, plans and training aids. Torres mobile teams routinely travel to other U.S. military installations to conduct COIN, CA, and PR training.  In 2008, Torres’ instructors authored the POIs for both Information Operations (IO) and Atmospherics and incorporated IO and atmospherics into all COIN training courses. Torres’ instructional teams earned the highest contract performance ratings in 2007-2009.
