Torres provides military personnel, Department of Defense civilians and private military contractors with training in evading capture, survival skills and the military code of conduct. Our expert instructors also train military and civilian personnel on all aspects of Personnel Recovery and surviving in a hostile environment.
We have trained more than 20,000 troops in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) and Personnel Recovery (PR), including High Risk Isolation (HRI), who are deploying under Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) at Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort Polk, Louisiana; the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and other military installations CONUS and OCONUS. Specifically, instruction is provided on the process whereby individuals who are isolated in hostile or unfriendly territory avoid capture with the goal of successfully returning to areas under friendly control. Further, we provide intense courses in search and rescue procedures and contingency planning.
Torres certified SERE and PR instructors hold advanced degrees and are cleared at the Secret and Top Secret Levels. Most of our SERE and PR instructors have also previously served in the U.S. military as Officers or Non-Commissioned Officers.
