Police Investigative Course Overview

This course provides students with a detailed understanding of the key principles governing police operations and procedures, including practical exercises and classroom demonstrations.

The objective of the training program is to offer a practical understanding of the course material that can be applied to real-life scenarios in order to:

  • Enhance the student’s professional capabilities as police officers and improve the overall efficacy of the Police Force in which they serve

Day 1 Classes:

  • Introduction and Welcome to Police Officer Training
  • Non-Lethal Weapons / Force Continuum
  • Officer Safety/Vehicle Stops/Searches
  • Obtain and Execute Search Warrants
  • Remedial Training

Day 2 Classes:

  • Informant and Confidential Source Management
  • Operational Planning
  • Blood Spatter
  • Crime Scene Overview
  • Interviewing and Interrogation
  • Remedial Training

Day 3 Classes:

  • DNA 1.0 Hour
  • Computer Forensics
  • Fingerprints
  • Canines in Law Enforcement
  • Human Trafficking
  • Remedial Training

Day 4 Classes:

  • Ethics, Corruption and Integrity
  • Human Rights
  • Suicide Subjects
  • Review For Final Examinations

Day 5 Classes:

  • Course Final Written Examination
  • Course Performance Examination
  • Lunch BBQ Friends / Family Invited
  • Remedial Examination if Needed
